ERA-TAC Angle Cosine Indicator Mount / Set
The Angle Cosine Indicator ( ACI) is an indispensable tool for long range marksmanship in steep terrain when shooting up or down hill.
The ACI enables you to easily calculate the required scope adjustment to correct the bullet trajectory for steep shots.
The bubble level enables the shooter to elliminate long range inaccuracy due to sidewards canting of the rifle.
The ERA-TAC ACI mount with bubble level can be easily attached to the Universal interface found on all ERA-TAC scope rings.
The position of the ACI is such that the scale and bublle level are readable with the rifle in your shoulder and it does not block the view of the elevation and windage turrety.
The mount is compatible with all types of scopes including those with short middle tubes and left side mounted illumination controls.
How to use the ACI:
1. Measure the range to target with a laser rangefinder (or other method)
2. Aim at the target and read the number shown on the ACI. Multiply the actual range x the number shown on the ACI
to get the required range for adjustment.
3. Adjust the elevation turret of your scope accordingly ( do not forget to adjust for windage if required !!)
4. Engage target.
Example:
- Range to target: 850m
- Cosine indication on ACI: 0,82 (Angel appox. 35°)
- 850m x 0,82 = 697m
